Professional Background
I entered the cloud through networks. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Informatics at HfTL Leipzig, I joined Deutsche Telekom in 2012 as a Junior Expert in IP Infrastructure within the product innovation division. Over nine years I moved from network engineering to product responsibility: through roles in Network Requirements & Service Quality, as Project and Product Manager in the DT Group's 5G program, and eventually as Product Owner for the cloud gaming product MagentaGaming.
In 2021 I moved to T-Systems International, first as Senior Architect Connected Mobility, then as Senior Product Owner AWS, and most recently as Senior Product Manager Cloud Security. Since July 2025 I've been at Tallence AG.
Current Role at Tallence AG
At Tallence AG I'm Senior Cloud Security Architect and AWS Alliance Lead. I advance Tallence's AWS partnership and advise clients on secure AWS Landing Zones and complex cloud architectures. I also work on new products around Cloud Managed Services and Cloud Security. One focus in recent months has been rebuilding our internal AWS infrastructure against CIS Benchmarks and BSI C5:2025. Tallence is fully remote, which works well for me.
Previous Experience
My experience crosses telecommunications, product management, and cloud engineering. At Deutsche Telekom I worked across R&D for fixed-line, mobile, and nomadic access products, coordinated automotive trials in the 5G program, owned a Predictive Quality of Service product based on machine learning, and led a cross-functional team of Frontend, Backend, Test Automation, DevOps, and SRE engineers on MagentaGaming.
At T-Systems my focus shifted to AWS: as Senior Product Owner for the DTAG group-wide Landing Zone, covering CSPM, SIEM, Data Residency, account provisioning, hardening, and FinOps, and later on the roadmap for AWS Managed Services and cross-hyperscaler compliance. I hold 10 AWS certifications, with hands-on work across AWS Control Tower, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, and serverless architectures.
Community & Engagement
My community work is primarily on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/olibhlr. There I share posts on AWS, Cloud Security, BSI C5:2025, and Agentic AI, and engage with architects, CISOs, and IT decision-makers across the DACH region.
As a standardization delegate for the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA), I contributed to Working Groups 2 and 3, and received an "Outstanding Contribution" award for Working Group 2.
Technology Interests
Architecture, security, and product decisions overlap in most of my work. AWS in its full breadth, Cloud Security themes like CSPM, CIEM, and SIEM, and compliance frameworks such as BSI C5:2025 and NIS2 are my main technical focus.
I work with AWS Kiro and spec-driven development, watching how Agentic AI is changing how we design, secure, and operate software. Combining services into something that holds at scale and solves an actual problem interests me more than mastering any single one.
